The Caymand Island, which is even denoted as The Caymans, is an overseas territory, nestled in the western part of the Caribbean Sea that make up the islands of the Grand Cayman, Cayman Brac and Little Cayman.

Location Of Cayman Islands
Nestled in the western part of the Caribbean Sea, a visit to the Cayman Island just takes an hour from Miami through flight. The three islands of Caymand Island namely Grand Cayman, Cayman Brac and Little Cayman is placed about 480 miles towards the south of Miami, 150 miles towards the south of Cuba and 180 miles towards the northwest of Jamaica.

The golden lion known as passant guardant with its forepaw uplifted and body seen from the side that is placed on the red background on the top thoird of the shield represents the country of Britain. Lastly, the green turtle with a coil of rope constitutes the seafaring or the navigation industry with the thatch rope industry that is nestled in this place. The gold pineapple that top the shield on th turtle describes the close tie ups the country has with Jamaica.
The Cayman’s Christian heritage is well denoted from the words of motto that is placed in the bottom which reads ‘He hath founded it upon the seas’.
Climate Of Cayman Islands

The Caribbean water is filled with several marine lives especially the famous coral reefs that are available in abundance at the Cayman Island. The green turtle is quite popular among the islanders and it is because of which the Caymand Island was even known as the Las Tortugas. These turtles are breaded and consumed by license.
Watch out species like the agouti (rodent), bats, iguana, freshwater turtle (the hickatee), land crabs and two varieties of tree frogs are something which one may come across here. Trip to the Queen Elizabeth II Botanic Park where endangered species of Blue Iguana can be best sighted.
Watch out the native birds in the region, which abounds to about 180 species of them in the land of Cayman. To name some of them are the Green-backed Heron, the Yellow-crowned Night Heron, Ground Dove, the Bananaquit, and the Snowy Egret.
Amazona Parrots are the national bird of this region with two species of it available within this region. Cayman Brac Parrot has its native home in Cayman Brac and Grand Cayman Parrot is a home to the Grand Cayman.
People Of Cayman Islands
With high standards living condition, the Caymanian people belong to the mixed breed that comes from the African-European race, out of which half derieve from the Caucasian and rest are from the African. Several religions thrive here especially the Christain, Presbyterians and Anglicans. The overall population amounts to about 57,800 as on April 2006 with George Town being its capital city.
