Euro Cup 2016 will kick start from 10 June 2016(GST) and end on 10 July 2016(GST). France would be opening the UEFA EURO 2016 against Romania in St. Denis on 10 June 2016. Also, Spain would be playing Czech Republic three days later i.e. on 13 June 2016.
This is for the first time that the European Championship final tournament would be contested by 24 teams, each one been expanded from the 16-team format that was used since 1996. As per this format, all the finalists of the tournament would contest a group stage that includes six groups of four teams, followed by a knockout stage that includes three rounds and the final.
