The 15th edition of the UEFA European Championship will begin from June 10, 2016, when France will take on Romania.
The tournament will culminate on July 10, 2016. But, before the games get underway, spectators will be treated to a fabulous opening ceremony. The opening ceremony of Euro 2016 will be held on June 10 at Stade de France in Paris and will witness performances by French and global artists. Amir, who finished at the 6th spot in the Eurovision Song Contest, will also perform at the ceremony. The ceremony will feature around 150 dancers and acrobats and a breathtaking flyover by the French air force.
However, the star attraction of the evening will be DJ David Guetta, who will perform the tournament’s official anthem ‘This One’s for You’. Other superstars to perform at the ceremony include Will I Am, Enrique Iglesias, Ariana Grande, Christophe Mae, Louane, Florent Pagn, Kendji Girac and Soprano.
The Stade De France, the venue of the 2016 opening ceremony, was targeted during the Paris attacks of November 2015 and this time around security will be tight at the stadium.
