The National flag of Serbia and Montenegro is comprised with horizontal bands of colors of equal size. The upper side band is red; the color of the middle is white whereas the underside strip is blue.
These colors of Blue, white and red are associated with conventional Slavic color schemes, and jointly they are mentioned as the Pan- Slavonic shades.These colors were initially acquired by Slavonic states in the mid of 19th century which were inspired by the flag of Independent Russia.
