Climate Of Philippines :

The Climate of Philippines is hot throughout the year. The dry seasons continues from September to May. On the other hand the rainy season remains during the months between June and September. The weather condition changes very little with the change of seasons. The weather remains very pleasing during the months between December and May. Tourists like to visit this country in this period.

Location Of Philippines:

Philippines is located in the southeastern region of the Asian continent. Vietnam is a neighboring country that is located in the western side of Philippines.

The South China Sea and the Philippine Sea surround the country from all sides.


FLAG OF PHILIPPINES:


The Flag of Philippines is beautiful and also symbolic. It contains two horizontal bands, which are of same size. The upper band is blue and the lower one is red. 

In the hoist side there is a triangle, colored in white. It is an equilateral triangle. The triangle bears a yellow sun, which has eight rays. The sun is featured in the center of the triangle. In the three corners of the triangle, there are three stars. These stars are symbolic of the three geographical partitions of Philippines. The eight rays of the sun are representative of eight provinces of the country. The blue color signifies peace and justice. On the other hand the red color signifies the courage.

Flora And Fauna Of Philippines :

•  Flora : The vegetation of Philippines is very rich and diverse. A major portion of the country is covered with tropical forests. You will see varieties of vines, epiphytes, climbers and so on. Flowering plants including ferns and orchids grow in large number in the forests of Philippines.


•  Fauna : The animal life is also diverse in this country. Various species of wild dogs, wild carabao, monkey, deer, civet cat, rodents and so on are found in the forests of the country. The bird life is also rich with several unique species such as megapodes, peacock pheasant, jungle fowl, buttonquail, pigeon, parrot, dove, hornbill etc. The water bodies also contain several species of fishes, snakes and crocodiles.

People Of Philippines :

The total population of Philippines is about 89,468,677. Republic of the Philippines is home to various ethnic groups such as Cebuano, Ilocano, Tagalog, Bisaya/Binisaya, Bikol, Hiligaynon Ilonggo, Waray and so on. Tagalog has formed the majority of the country. Pilipino is the official language of the country. However, English is also widely spoken in various places of Philippines.

Art, Culture And Music Of Philippines :

Art : Different types of artifacts such as barong tagalog or embroidered dress, Tiffany lamps hat are made of capiz shells, woodcarvings, brassware etc are practiced in this country. Painting is also considered an important aspect of Philippine art.

Culture : In the presence of various ethnicities, Philippines has developed a diverse cultural atmosphere. Influence of France is evident in the tradition of the country. Chinese influence is also evident here.

Music : Music and dance are two integrall parts of Philippine tradition. Some of the musical instruments are kutiyapi or the boat lute etc.

Economy Of Philippines :

Philippines is an economically stable country. The economy partially depends on its agriculture and partially on its export business. The primary agricultural products are coconuts, rice, sugarcane, corn, cassavas, bananas, pineapples, mangoes and so on. The blooming industries are garment industry, footwear industry, pharmaceuticals industry, chemicals, electronics assembly, food processing industry, wood industry, petroleum refining industry etc. The materials that are exported are garments, electronic equipment, optical instruments, fruits, nuts, coconut, copper products, chemicals etc. US, China, Japan, Netherlands, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Taiwan are the primary export partners of Philippines.
