One can plan for a Palestine travel at anytime of the year owing to the level of security available at that time. There are a number of tourist destinations in Palestine. Some of them include Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Nablus, St George’s Monastery, Ibrahimi Mosque and so on.

Bethlehem has got sites like the Manger Square, Church of the Nativity, Manger St, Shepherds’ St, etc. Church of the Nativity is known to be the legendary birthplace of Christ. Nablus is known for its 30 tall minarets, the most famous being the one belonging to the An-Nasir Mosque. There is also the Touqan Castle and the Turkish bath.




For traveling in Palestine, there are car rental facilities available at various places. Also Palestinian taxi services are available in the cities of Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Nablus, Gaza, Ramallah and other places. The airlines of Palestine nowadays do not operate at the Yasser Arafat International Airport that is in Rafah. One can enter West Bank area from various points. To the south of Ramallah there is a checkpoint at Qalandia. Near Bethlehem there is a checkpoint at Gilo.


Those who are coming from Ammam, can have entry through the Allenby/King Hussein Bridge border crossing. From there, one can avail of transportation to Jericho. There are IDF soldiers placed at the checkpoints.

The Palestinian Autonomous region is a storehouse of historical structures. The museums in Palestine enclose within their walls fragments and pieces of progressive human history.
