Oman Flag

The year on which the current national flag of Oman was officially adopted is 1995. It was at this time that the red band at the center was widened.

The green color in the national flag of Oman symbolizes productiveness and the white stripe stands for peace. The red color on the flag of Kharihite Muslims, the former sovereign, is the inspiration behind the presence of red color on the Oman flag.
