The Micronesia culture and society is a combination of Micronesian art, music, festival and their tradition. The Micronesia art represents a wide range of diversity. The artworks of Micronesia comprises of weather charms and stick charts from the famous Marshall Island. Mythological events are represented by the figures flanked on the Mortlock Atoll. The various types of Micronesian art and the textile works are an integral part of the Micronesia culture and society.

Hos or weather charms were used as protective instruments for predicting the impending bad weather. Popularly known as “Bai”, the large houses of men are an important form of Micronesia art. Previously, these large houses were used as the club buildings for the Micronesian people.

The Yap Day festival is one of the most popular festivals in Micronesia. The celebration takes place in the first weekend of March. The people of all the four islands of Yap celebrate this occasion with great pomp and show. This is a festival of joy and color, which is celebrated with splendor. In this occasion women and men wear their traditional costumes specially meant for the season. They also perform various dances to enhance the mood of the season.
