Mauritania Weather remains mostly dry and hot through out the year. Mauritania is a large yet sparsely populated country situated over the western parts of the Sahara desert. It has a coastline over the Atlantic Ocean and borders the Western Sahara over the northern areas, Mali and Algeria on the eastern regions and Senegal over the southern frontiers.
