Gostivar



Gostivar is a very popular town of Macedonia. Located in the western region of this European nation at an elevation of 530 meters above sea level, the town covers a land area of 1.341 square kilometers. The town lies in the upper part of Poloska Basin.

The famous town of Gostivar in Macedonia lies at a very significant crossroad where the roads to Ohrid, Skopje and Tetovo meet. The roads in the south western lead to Debar whiel the one in the north lead to Skopje and Tetovo. The road in the douth lead to Kichevo and Ohrid.

Nearby the famous town of Gostivar at Macedonia lies the mouth of river Vardar near the village of Vrutok. The riverside is surrounded by dense greenery which makes the ambiance of the place very pleasant. One can take an evening walk around the riverside amidst the cool breeze of the river.

Tourist Attractions at Gostivar

One must check out the fish pond near Gostivar of Macedonia. The pond is famous for its breed of Canadian trout which attracts numerous visitors. If one follows the same road, he or she can check out a lake named Mavrovo, the green vegetation and pleasant climate of Mount Vlanjnica, beautiful landscapes of the Basin and a village on the foothills of these mountain ranges named Polong.
