Esch Sur Alzette



Esch-sur-Alzette is a very famous town that is located in the country of Luxembourg. The town of Esch-sur-Alzette is located on the globe at the latitude and the longitude measuring 49° 29′ 45 N and 5° 58′ 50 E, respectively.

Esch-sur-Alzette is placed on the southern regions of Luxembourg facing the upper Alzette River. The French border is at close proximities with the city of Esch-sur-Alzette at Luxembourg.

The major tourist attractions at Esch-sur-Alzette include the National Museum of the Resistance, which was of vital importance to the Germans during the Second World War, the Berwart Tower which was built in the year 1621, ‘Ariston’ cinema, the ‘Kinosch’ cinema, the Municipal Theatre and the large park.

There are three famous hotels at Esch-sur-Alzette of Luxembourg which provide accommodation facilities to its guests with its well furnished rooms and all the necessary modern state-of-the-art amenities. These hotels are namely, Hotel de la Poste, Mercure Renaissance and Hotel Restaurant Acacia.

Esch-sur-Alzette in Luxembourg also hosts one of the six regional headquarters, which belong to the Grand Ducal Police. Although it was a very tiny village till the 1870s, it is the second largest town in the country of late. Esch-sur-Alzette is renowned for its local phosphoric iron ore.
