Luxembourg Music

Luxembourg music is highly influenced by the Germanic music. The reason behind it is its close proximity with the place. The two most renowned musical institutions of Luxembourg are Luxembourg Conservatory of Music and the national music federation known as the LGDA.

One will get the cream of Luxembourg music by being a part of the two musical festivals of Luxembourg. They are the Rock um Knuedler and the Echternach Music Festival. There is a wide range of good musical performers in Luxembourg. They specialize in pop, folk, rock, classical as well as other fields of music. Jean-Antoine Zinnen wrote the National Anthem of Luxembourg. Michel Lentz is a famous lyricist of the place.

Luxembourg Society for Contemporary Music (LGNM)

Luxembourg Society for Contemporary Music came into being in the year of 1983. There was a huge contribution made by the music teachers, composers and also the performers of Luxembourg. The sole motivation of this institution was the promotion of the music. They aimed at organizing various musical workshops, concerts and conferences. They also welcomed various other national and international groups for cooperation.

Luxembourg Sinfonietta is an ensemble that aims at propagation of the contemporary music of Luxembourg. It is set up mainly for the performance of Luxembourgian music across the borders.
