Liepaja Latvia is known to be one of the largest cities of Latvia and is situated in the southern corner of Latvia. Liepaja was initially a small village popular for fishing and

eventually it grew to become a trading port under the authority of Jacob Kettler. Liepaja is a prosperous city where artistic buildings and well maintained parks are often seen. Liepaja was part of the Russian territory during the 19th century and grew to become one of the wealthiest cities of Latvia in the 20th century.
