Kemeri National Park (KNP), is a park sheltering diverse species of Latvia flora and fauna. This particular park is situated in Latvia, Europe, and provides a glimpse of the varied species of plants and animals, which are rarely found and are safely protected. The park was founded in 1997 with the aim of protecting endangered and rare species, educate the masses about the importance of the ecological balance.

Flora of Latvia comprises of the lichens, fungi, mosses and so on. Lichens of one hundred forty species are widely found in the Kemeri National park of Latvia. Chaenotheca cinerea, Calicium quercinum and the Thelotrema lepadinum are the three species of lichens widely found in Latvia.Fungus of 586 species are found in the park. Marinospora calyptrata, C. halima, Entorrhiza aschersoniana are some of the rare species of fungi comprising the Latvia flora. There are more than 207 species of mosses found in Latvia. Besides there are 897 species of vascular plants adding up the Latvia flora.
