Natural Features of Kenya:


Amazing geographical features of Kenya include Volcanic Crater Kerio, Great Rift Valley, and natural lakes such as Lake Victoria, Lake Magadi, and rivers such as Tsavo, Athi, mountains like Mt. Kilimanjaro, Mt. Kiringa, and Mt. Kenya. The Savannah, coral reefs, white sand beaches are some other attractions of Kenya.

Official Language of Kenya is Swahili and English. Kenya has a rich store of languages. Few Kenyan languages spoken in different parts of Kenya are Borana, Bukusu, Chuka, El molo, Kikuyu, Massai, and Sambaru. Foreign languages such as Gujrati, Punjabi, Arabic, Omani, Konkani, and Goanese are also spoken.

The major part of the population consists of tribal groups such as Gikuyu, Kamba, Ameru, Kalenjin, and Luo and so on. The minor group consists of the foreign settlers such as Asians, Gujrati, Punjabi, Goanese, Arabians and Europeans.


Currency of Kenya is called Shilling (Kshs). One Kenyan Shilling is equal to 100cents. Notes are published in the denomination of 50, 100, and 500.
