Manx shearwaters, grey wagtails, peregrine the red-legged chough are some of the bird species found in this region.

People of Isle of Man

Flag of Isle of Man The flag of Isle of Man is designed with a triskelion symbol, which possesses three legs of a man that acts like an emblem. The emblem is placed in the centre position with the three legs being united along the thigh area while the legs being bent along the knee portion facing into three different directions. This makes the emblem of legs run clockwise from both ends of the flag, which is rested along a red colored background. The triskelion originates from the symbol of the Celtic sun that came into use especially by the Mycenaeans and the Lycians. The flag has a similar resemblance with that of the Sicily.
