Hillary Clinton announcement
On April 12, 2015, Hillary Clinton announced her candidacy for the 2016 US Presidential elections. Hillary Clinton’s announcement was made via a Youtube video which was released that day after 3 pm. The video, in which she can be seen smiling and saying that she is running for president, ended around two years of speculation. Announcing her bid she said, “Everyday Americans need a champion. And I want to be that champion.” After her announcement, she traveled to Iowa and New Hampshire, which were the two early states holding caucuses and primaries. Hillary Clinton was the third candidate to announce her candidacy after Ted Cruz, the Republican Senator of Texas, and Rand Paul of Kentucky.
