The Breclav region is located in the picturesque surrounding of the Lednice-Valtice Area. The region has been adorned with many Historical Monuments, Ecclesiastic buildings, Chateaux, Jewish monuments, cultural monuments and landmarks.
Since 1996, the area has been declared by UNESCO as the protected World Heritage site. In 1643, the Swedes destroyed the Old Synagogue and replaced by the New Synagogue in 1671-1672. The synagogue was reconstructed from 1997-1999 and is presently used for cultural and social purposes. It displays the local Jewish history and Breclav town. It is also used as a gallery of fine arts, concert hall and many other events are conducted here.
A number of big and small ecclesiastic buildings can be seen in the surroundings of Breclav. The most noteworthy among the ecclesiastic buildings are the Church of the Annunciation in Postorna and the Church of the Archangel Michael in Ladna. There is an Evangelical Parish Church in the heart of Breclav town on Husova Street, which was designed by the architect M. Tic.
The Church of the Seven Day Adventists in Breclav is another magnificent church built on the corner of Jungmannova and Jiraskova Streets. It is located near the banks of the Dyje River, reflecting the architectonic elements in the construction.
