Chile Demography



Chile Demography is the sociological study of Chile population. Chile is an averagely populated country, counting up to 16 million people. Most of the population being in the urban sectors it has helped in the fast development of the country.

Almost 85% of the population is belonging to the urban group, which if converted stands to a numeric of 6.5 million people. This part of the urban settlers dwells in the capital city of Greater Santiago. The Chilean population growth is the lowest in Latin America with only 0.97% ranking third just after the nations of Uruguay and Cuba. This replacement is sufficiently done by the population growth in Chile for the purpose of replacement. The average estimated demography of Chile every year is almost 20 million and 20.2 million by the year 2025 and 2050 respectively.

The decline of Chilean economy for three decades was again re established by standard living society after 1990s and early 2000s. In accordance to income statistical distribution, almost 6.2% of the Chilean population constitutes the upper economic phrase 15% indicate the middle phrase, 21% of the population in the lower middle, 38% in the lower phrase, and 20% in the extreme poor phrase.

The Chile Demography comprises of many ethnic groups and thus is suitably termed as the homogeneous race of Latin America.
