Tibesti, Chad



Tibesti is one of the most-known places of Chad. The Borkou-Ennedi-Tibesti is said to be one of the 18 regions of Chad. The capital of this place is Faya-Largeau and it is composed by the erstwhile Borkou-Ennedi-Tibesti administrative division.

Tibesti is basically one among those above-mentioned Bourkou-Ennedi-Tibesti departments and the capital of it is Bardaï. Tibesti- a City in Chad has been named after the Tibesti Mountains.

On the other hand, the Tibesti volcanic complex is situated mid way between the Lake Chad and the Gulf of Syrte in the Southern part of Libya and Northern part of Chad. This region constitutes around 350-mile triangle in length. This region has seven volcanic mountains and is surrounded by plateaus and sandstone plains found in the central part of Sahara.
