Mountains of Chad



Mountains of Chad are marvellous geographical features of the country. There are a number of mountain ranges that are situated in this African territory. Chad travel is never complete without a visit to these mountains in the country.

One of the most famous mountain peaks of the country of Chad is the Tibesti Massif. This mountainous region has formed due to volcanic eruption. The altitude of the highest point of this region is 3415 meter and is called Mount Koussi. In the eastern part lies the Ouaddai mountains, formed of crystalline rocks. Two other important mountains of Chad are Mandara and Adamawa Mountains. These mountains lie in the southwest part of the counrty.
