Australia is the smallest continent in the world. It is also known as Meganesia, Australinea, and Sahul. It is made up of the Australian mainland, East Timor, Papua New Guinea, and parts of Indonesia. The bordering nations of Australian mainland are Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, and East Timor to the north, New Caledonia, the Solomon Islands, and Vanuatu in the northeast, and New Zealand in the southeast.

Australia
Australia is the sixth largest country in the world. The capital of the nation is Canberra. The national flag of Australia has a blue background with the British Union Jack in the upper left corner of the flag. There is a big seven-point star (Commonwealth Star) in white just beneath the Union Jack and five stars (four big and one small) stars on the right quadrant of the flag. These stars are collectively known as the Southern Cross Constellation. The variant of this ensign is also used in the country, which has the same design but the background is red instead of blue. The country is made up of six states and two territories and the details of their flags are given below:
New South Wales
New South Wales is the most populated state in Australia. The capital is Sydney. The flag is similar to the British blue flag with the official emblem of the state placed in the fly. The emblem is a white circle with St. George’s Cross. In the middle, there is a lion in golden color in walking position with right foreleg raised, looking forward. There is an eight-point star in yellow on every branch of the cross.
Queensland
Frequently called as the Sunshine State, the capital of Queensland is Brisbane. The flag of Queensland is a British blue flag with the official emblem of the state on a white circle placed on the right quadrant of the ensign. Victoria

The flag features two perpendicular bands of black (on the left side) and ochre (on the right side) in 1:2 proportion. East Timor
Also known as the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste, East Timor is a country in Southeast Asia. The capital of East Timor is Dili. The official flag of East Timor is rectangular shaped with a red background and two isosceles triangles to the hoist side, the foundations of which overlie. The black triangle is smaller than the yellow triangle and there is a five pointed star in the middle of the black triangle.
