History – Armenian Massacre



Armenian massacre pertains to the forcible deportation and massacring of over a million of Armenians during the government of the Young Turks from 1915 to 1917 in the Ottoman Empire. Not only this but the massacre of Armenia

started between 1894 and 1896 during widespread pogroms conducted by the Sultan’s special regiments where over 100,000 inhabitants of Armenian villages were massacred.

The Aremnian hopes were dashed when three of the Young Turks seized full control of the government via a coup in 1913 and resulted in a massive massacre. Effect of massacre at Armenia led to the deportation, expropriation, abduction, torture, massacre, and starvation. Women and children were abducted and horribly abused. Armenian people were deprived of the entire wealth of the Armenia.

It is estimated that at the massacre in Armenia one and a half million Armenians perished between 1915 and 1923. Also the expulsions and massacres carried by the Nationalist Turks between 1920 and 1922 added tens of thousands of more victims.

Armenian massacre witnessed a massive devastation leading to huge rate of mass killing, loss of property and so on resulting in horrifying tragic end. Armenin massacre is regarded as the occasion of war to wage a collateral campaign of massacre against the civilian of Armenia.
