Chegutu is 105km that is 7-8 hours from the famous Zimbabwean city, Harare. The famous neighboring city of Chegutu is Kadoma, which is famous for mining industries. Apart from textile industry, Chegutu people work in excess for agricultural productions also. The agricultural products are cotton, corn-maize and animal husbandry.
The climate of Chegutu is quite humid and hot. The temperature is very high in the months of July, August and September along with high humidity. Massive snowfall takes place in the months of November, December, January and even for some days in February. Chegutu people are relieved from massive rainfall. The rainfall is moderate here.
Social Development of Chegutu
The social development of Chegutu has not increased much since the country got independence. The schools and other educational institutions are limited in number. The ratio of birth rate is more than the death rate and poverty in Chegutu has raised because of the high inflation in the Zimbabwean economy.
The demography of Chegutu is approximately 60.000 and in the recent two-three years, Chegutu is working immensely in order to raise its standard of living. The increase in textile industry productions and agricultural productions are taking Chegutu towards being a developing city.
