Zimbabwe Inflation

Zimbabwe Inflation began after it became republic of Zimbabwe that is after the country got its independence. The country's economy got affected by the inflation approximately seven years back that is in the year 2000. The inflation was so high in the year 2003 that it was nearly impossible to buy even the normal household and food products.

Other than these, the clothing, electronic items, accommodation, and other facilities were available in a high price. Such inflation resulted into Zimbabwe becoming a poor country.

There was a time when the inflation in Zimbabwe crossed 1000%. It was a high time because the international banks were not providing any monetary helps because of the problems with the government regarding repayment of previous loans. The repayment of those loans was done in the year 2006.

The Zimbabwe inflation has been brought under control and the present scenario promises of reasonably priced items. The economic reforms, which have been brought about by the successive governments have been successful in controlling the inflation rate in Zimbabwe.
