The Muslims in Zimbabwe occupy a minor section of the society and it is a country, which gives prominence to all religions and they share an equal footing with people of other faiths.

The Muslims in Zimbabwe is just a small minority of the country, where the major Zimbabwe religion is Syncretic religion. The Muslims in Zimbabwe is a community comprising immigrants from South Asian countries of Pakistan and India and also from certain Middle East and North African countries.

Mosques in Zimbabwe:

The Muslims in Zimbabwe visit mosques for their daily prayer. The large towns have good mosques in various locations. Harare itself has 18 mosques, whereas there are some more in the rural regions. A number of Muslims in Zimbabwe, complain that their employers do not allow them to visit mosques for the important Friday prayers.

Muslims in Zimbabwe News:

It was reported sometime in 2004, that the country had become a hub of al-Qaeda, because of its favorable position between the the nations of Mozambique and Angola. This had created a lot of tension for the Muslims in Zimbabwe, who had to face problems in many forms.

The Constitution of Zimbabwe states that every citizen is free to follow any religious faith and that there shall be no discrimination. Despite this liberty there is general dissent among the Muslims in Zimbabwe.
