The Somalia children are important to the nation as they are the bright future, that the Somali people want to see. The nation had been through many turmoils that had adverse effects on the Somalia children and their plights had been the cause of concern for the UNICEF. The various programs of this organization have ensured a better way of living for the Somalia children. Prior to the civil war, education in the country was compulsory and free, thereby giving the Somalia children a fair chance to grow and develop into educated human being. The literacy rate had considerably increased and many primary and secondary schools thrived. However this system broke down for quire some time when the doors of the schools were firmly shut. This caused a heavy blow to the Somalia children. Conditions improved later and now there are smiles on the faces of several Somalia children.

The country of Somalia has seen scary attacks of life threatening diseases, specially in the rural areas. However there are humanitarian institutions that work hard for the well being of the Somalia children who spread awareness among parents regarding the main diseases affecting the Somalia children them.
