Slovakia Flag is adopted by the
Slovakian Constitution and its current form came into force on September 3, 1992 and its features are quite common to the other Slavic nations. The
Slovakian Flag consists of three primary colors and they are mainly red, white and blue colors .The present form of the flag can be related to the revolutionary year of 1848 when the minority of Slovaks were fighting against the Magyars. Czechoslovakia used the
Slovakia Flag semi officially till World War II and then it was finally adopted by the Slovak Republic in March1, 1990. A special law was enforced describing the details of
Slovakia flag and was adopted in February 1993.
The Flag of
Slovakia has three horizontal stripes of white, blue and red color of the same size respectively. On the hoist side, the flag is adorned with a shield and the red part of the flag is superimposed by the Slovak cross. The cross is located centrally on the background of red and blue and its white colored. The coat of
Slovakia flag consists of silver double cross and it's elevated in the middle peak of a dark blue mountain which consists of three peaks.
As the
Slovakia flag without the seal resembles identically to the modern flag of Russia and even with the modern flag of Slovenia so the constitution of the Slovak Republic added a seal to the flag in September 1992.The seal is similar to the Slovakia coat of arms which is on the flag.
