Rwanda located in Central Africa has three official languages and some dialects. The
Rwanda languages spoken by its people distinguish between the refugees and the locals.
There are mainly three official languages spoken in Rwanda. The
languages of Rwanda are French, English and
Rwanda language which is also known as Kinyarwanda. Kinyarwanda is part of Bantu language and spoken widely. There are other names also for Rwanda language which is Orunyarwanda and Ruanda. French language is also spoken by Rwanda people which is less than 10%. The refugees who returned from Kenya and Uganda after the 1994 genocide speak English. Other languages like Rundi and Swahili are also spoken in Rwanda. In terms of literary books Rwanda has very little to offer because in the times of monarchy history used to be dictated orally and no written form was kept.
