Education in Poland is looked after by the Ministry of National Education and Sport. Until 1990s, there was no opening for the private
education in Poland. But with the decline of the Communist regime in Poland, the private
education in Poland has started to play its part. But there are few regulations imposed on the opening of private schools in Poland. The private schools need to be registered by the Ministry of National Education and Sport. Only once they are registered by the Minister of National Education and Sport, the private institutions get the permission to open up.
From 1998 few measures have been adopted to qualify the students according to the need of the job industry. From that period the state and private vocational schools of higher education began to appear. The course curriculum of these vocational institutions enables the students to carry on their studies and simultaneously doing some jobs. These courses include 15-week internships and school practice. The students enjoy the provision to take up the vocational
education in Poland in the form of evening or extramural studies and distant learning courses.
The private as well as public schools are in operation in the contemporary Poland. Few of these schools offer courses from Montessori to 12th Standard, while a few are made only for the primary section.
After the completion of studies in the schools, the students have the option to enroll for higher studies in colleges and universities. The students are offered to pursue their education in general science or arts, or in technological studies or in some specialized courses.
