Beijing 2008 Summer Games
The 2008 Beijing Summer Games will be held from 8th August to 24th August in the year 2008 in Beijing, capital of the People's Republic of China. The Games will be officially opened by the President. For the second time in Olympic's history, Summer Games of the same season will be held in two different countries –China and Hong Kong.

Many records have been made in the Olympic archery, atheletics, shooting, skating, cycling, weighlifting competition. The current Olympic records in women's 100 meter race and 200 meter race are held by Florence Griffith Joyner of USA.
