The Moroccan Languages are an important and vital parameter, which helps in the effective communication of the people. The Moroccan Languages are very helpful in acting as an indispensable medium to ensure smooth and effective communication among the people. The official language that is widely being spoken in Morocco is the Moroccan Arabic.
Then there is Hassaniyya Arabic, which is spoken widely in the southern part of Morocco by a population of 40,000. Judeo Moroccan Arabic is also no less popular form but is spoken by a minority few in small areas. The other languages that are frequently spoken by the people of Morocco include Tachelhit, Tarifit, Spanish and Standard Arabic.
The above mentioned languages are all verbal. Apart from these there are few non-verbal languages known as sign languages. These languages are meant specially for those who are not capable of reading writing or even speaking. The sign language is highly popular in the city of Oujda, where a considerable portion of population is deaf and dumb. The varied sign languages help in effective communication among these people.
French language is another very popular language spoken here. About half of the Moroccans are highly capable of speaking this language. The Moroccan languages really act as a solidifying force in promoting unity among the Moroccans.
