Malta Netball is very popular game among the teenagers. In fact, this is perhaps the most rapidly growing game in Malta. The game of netball in Malta is governed by the Malta Netball Association. The head office of this organization is in Valletta. The association is working very hard for the further development of this game. It is an extremely popular game in Malta and the nation is successful in making it big in the international level.
The organization successfully arranges international tournaments each year in the country. It is called "The Malta Netfest". The tournament is already considered by most of the fans as the finest netball tournament in Europe. The main tournament is divided into four levels and the division is made according to the age groups. There are the under fourteen section, under sixteen segment, under nineteen division and the Open Tournament. The tournament is held for a couple of days and each of them is filled with thrill and excitement.
When we look inside we find that there are plenty of reasons that make this game so popular in Malta. The tourists find a number of shops, malls and showrooms exhibiting the netball jerseys and accessories and thus, promoting the game to the visitors as well as to the tourists. In "The Malta Netfest" the teams are divided into groups and the tournament continues in a knock out format. In this tournament, the school children are invited and they perform different cultural programs to encourage the players.
The association also arranges free training sessions for children and adults to popularize the game. Thus, they try to pick up talents from the school level and their efforts are bringing good results as the young netball team in Malta is showing some class in different tournaments. The association is happy with the progress and it believes the team will make it really big in the world of netball very soon.
