These health services of Mali were the main part of the ACCESS project which was totally related to the malaria eradication program. The Tanzanian Ifakara Health Research and Development Center and Swiss Tropical Institute had joined hands for attaining total success in the malaria eradication program.
The general health problems of the country are discussed by the representatives of different health centers. The health centers also carry analysis of the health issues faced by people of extremely under developed areas. The health research institutes of Mali conduct various analyses before offering any facility to the local people. The government has kept a target of extending health services to the four major districts of Ségou region. Eleven health centers and insurance schemes have been set up in these areas. The health schemes are formulated according to the specific needs of the place. The importance of these insurance schemes needs to be explained to the common population of Mali.
