Daugavpils Latvia, established in the 13th century is located in the south-eastern side of Riga. The city was initially under Lithuania and Poland and later on it was taken over by USSR and Latvia. Daugavpils is a commercial city within Latvia and it has a railway joint as well. It is known to be one of the largest cities in Latvia, which is encircled by many small water bodies.

Daugavpils city is not only a commercial center, but it also boasts of its cultural heritage, which comprises of heritage buildings, artistic galleries, historical repositories and museums.
