Kenya Government has been formed after a long period of colonization. Republic of Kenya was a one-party state between 1969 to 1982. later on it became a multi-party state in 1991. The National Assembly, consisting of a single house is Kenya's central legislative authority, which can for 5 years.
The Constitution was formed on 12th Dec 1963. individual rights are protected under the Constitution. By the affirmative vote on Second and Third Reading of 65% of the membership of the National Assembly the Constitution can be amended.

The Parliament has a single chamber that is known as the National Assembly, where 210 members are elected and 12 of the members ( excluding the two ex-officials) are nominated by the President.
Kenya Government has divided the country into 8 provinces for the convenience of administration.
Election is held after every 5 years to form a new
Government of Kenya.
