Founded in the year 1901the
Football Association of Czech Republic Succeeded in gaining FIFA affiliation in the year 1907 and in the year 1994 it became affiliated to UEFA. The Czech people are sport loving people and football occupies a special position in the arena of Czech sports. This all important sport of football in the Czech Republic is supervised, organized and governed by the Football Association of Czech Republic or the Ceskomoravský fotbalový svaz as it is known in the language of the Czech.
All the Football Leagues and the National Football team of the Czech Republic are a responsibility of the
Football Association of Czech Republic. Based in Prague, the Football Association of Czech Republic was known as the Czechoslovak Football Association during the existence of Czechoslovakia. After the split, the association was renamed as the Football Association of Czech Republic and the National Football team of Czech Republic is controlled by them.
