Cyprus Transportation



Cyprus Transportation includes roads, motorways, airports, ports and harbors, merchant marine, licensed vehicle, etc. There is no railway system in Cyprus. Airways, waterways and motorways are the modes of transportation in Cyprus.

In the year 2006 Cyprus had a total of 16 airports among which 13 airports had paved runways and 3 airports had unpaved runways. There were 10 heliports in Cyprus in 2006. The total length of paved roadways is 7,845 km while North Cyprus has 1,370 km paved roadways. The merchant marine of Cyprus in 2006 included 877 ships. The ports and terminals in Cyprus are as follows:
