Rochester is a city in the U.S state of Minnesota. It was founded by George Head in 1854. It is a company town known for the presence of Mayo Clinic. It was named the county seat of Olmsted County in1857. The city developed much in the 19th century and was selected as one of the best places to live.

The city has a population of 97,191 with a density of 836.4 per sq. km, making it the third largest city in the state.
