The Republic of Belarus follows a presidential system of governance. The
political parties of Belarus may be loosely divided into those political entities that support the ruling clique and those who do not.
The
political parties of Belarus that are loyal to the President usually have their base in the agricultural zone of the country. Supporting Belarus political parties are also gleaned from communist parties that are direct political descendants of the Soviet regime.
